BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
My mission in life is to create art that warms the heart and brings out the magic and whimsy of our lives. My work is very colorful and design rich. It is vibrant and engaging to all ages. I work primarily as a muralist for schools (many in the St. Cloud 742 District), business, and private homes. I have illustrated two children's books: Sir Leavelot and the Dragon's Treasure and The Land Beyond Forever. I enjoy a variety of media such as paper casting, bas-relief sculpture, painting-collage, and assemblage of found objects. I am a seasoned teacher with over a dozen years of teaching art in high school and elementary both as a classroom teacher and an artist in residence. I live in a house in the woods with my family--Tom, Sienna, Ivy Indigo, and Turner Grey. The Central Minnesota magazine Among Women has featured my art in many avenues. First I was the Cover Story for January 2003 describing my life as an artist, mother, and wife. Secondly, as a writer for the Creative Spirit section of the magazine which offered an art project each issue to encourage the artist in all of us. Lastly, I created six limited edition prints marketed by Among Women. Gardening and Interior Design is another passion. Most recently our children’s' gardens and treehouses will be featured in an upcoming summer feature in Midwest Living magazine 2007. Art is my passion, my gift, and my life.

Lizzard's Art Gallery and Peasantworks in Duluth and the Red Balloon Bookstore in Mpls. Prints, greeting cards and other art may be purchased at the Mind Body Spirit Store of St. Cloud.
I have taught art classes/private lessons for adults/students. I have done teaching/demonstrating in a school setting. I have acted as a Juror/panelist for arts grants/competitions. I have sold my work at art fairs. I have done commissioned work.
