LITERARY ARTIST – Poetry, Fiction, Non-Fiction

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Focus mainly on novels and short fiction, some poetry for pleasure. Work often with book clubs. Taught literature and writing at St. Johns Univ. Enjoy meeting readers and aspiring new writers.

I have marketed myself as an artist as follows:

• Aug.2007 - Short story Sea Salt in The Caribbean Writer.
• Spring 2007 - Essay Cutting Close to the Bone in Mystery Readers Journal
• Fall 2005 - Short story Wormwood in Glimmer Train Stories (2nd Prize Winner, Fiction Open Contest)
• Winter 2005 - Short story Closing Dhor's in Glimmer Train Stories
• 2004 - Short story Joshua in Hassler anthology Stories Teachers Tell
• 2000 - Mystery novel Things In Ditches - chosen as book of the month for August, 2001 by The Mystery Bookstore in Los Angeles, Calif.

I have taught art classes/private lessons for adults/students. I have done teaching/demonstrating in a school setting. I have given readings of my work.
