"I'm serious about my art and would like some day to actively market my art, but I am not quite ready at this time."
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
I love to inspire young learners through music and movement. Using material from their lives as a point of integration, I use music and movement as a subject in and of itself as well as a vehicle for exploration into other topics. I approach my work from a global perspective, bringing cultural values from my 19 years of living abroad.

I have marketed myself as an artist as follows:
I'm currently teaching at Central Minnesota Music School and St. Paul City Ballet/St. Cloud. I've used my integrated approach while teaching in Japan; classroom teachers and I collaborated on learning goals. Currently, we're offering free folk dance sessions every second and fourth Sundays at 1:30 - 2:30 at CMMS.
My husband and I have authored a starter-level English (ESL/EFL) textbook which uses music and movement strategies to motivate young learners.
In the past, I've used music and movement to bring "magic" to children's birthday parties.
I have taught art classes/private lessons for adults/students. I have done teaching/demonstrating in a school setting.
I would be interested in: teaching art classes/private lessons for students, teaching/demonstrating in a school setting, acting as a Juror/panelist for arts grants/competitions, and selling my work at art fairs.
