Grant recipients should refer to their CMAB contract for the specific acknowledgement language required to remain in compliance with state law governing the use of these funds.

By signing the required contract the grantee agrees to acknowledge the Central Minnesota Arts Board grant on all internally generated advertising and promotion, such as programs, posters, flyers, etc.

Oral acknowledgment is always recommended, but required during any event that does not have a printed program and interviews with the news media. All written or oral acknowledgments must use the following credit line, (wording may not be changed in any way):

“This activity is funded, in part, by a grant from the Central MN Arts Board, through appropriations from the MN State Legislature with money from the state’s general fund, and its arts & cultural heritage fund that was created by a vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.”

All recipients of arts and cultural heritage fund grants must, by law, incorporate the Legacy Amendment logo into printed and other materials funded with money from this fund.

If a grant recipient has a website that includes information on the CMAB funded event or project, both the Legacy Amendment logo and the Central Minnesota Arts Board logo along with the contractual acknowledgement language must be made visible.
