Artist Career Development Programs - Mentorships

CMAB Fiscal Year starts July 1, 2011 and ends June 30, 2012

An artist (mentee) may apply for a MENTORSHIP Grant to study with a professional artist (mentor) to expand their skills in a particular arts area. The mentee may apply in one of the following arts disciplines: Dance, Literary Arts, Media Arts, Music, Theater, or Visual Arts.

Artists may apply for a MENTORSHIP up to one-year maximum $3,000,
two-year maximums $5,000 each (Eligible applicants may be awarded a total accumulated mentorship grant amount of up to $5,000 over a five year period).

Who can apply:

  • Region 7W (Benton, Sherburne, Stearns or Wright county) residents 18 years of age or older with an experienced background in the arts looking to expand their skills in a particular arts area
  • An Individual artist may apply for a mentorship or a scholarship but not both during the same deadline.
