CMAB Awards Six Student Arts Scholarships
The Central Minnesota Arts Board (CMAB) recently awarded Art Scholarships to six area high school seniors totaling $9,000. The Student Arts Scholarship Program is designed to support students pursuing undergraduate degrees in the arts. Each applicant must submit up to five art samples and three references along with answers to a set of questions. Applicants are evaluated according to established criteria and awarded funding in rank order. READ MORE

Central MN Arts Board awards Project Grants to area organizations
At the April meeting, the Central Minnesota Arts Board (CMAB) awarded $151,270 in support of twenty-nine regional arts projects. Three criteria are used in evaluating applications: Artistic quality and merit; ability of the organization to carry out the proposal; and the needs of the community. READ MORE 
Eight Area Artists Receive CMAB/McKnight Individual Artist Awards
Eight CMAB/McKnight Individual Artist Award (IAA) recipients were announced this week. The $5,000 Established Artist Award is designed for artists with a history of exhibition, performances, publications, or other notable contributions to their local arts community through personal creative output. The $3,000 Emerging Artist Awards recognize and encourage outstanding artists in various stages of their careers. READ MORE

CMAB interviews artists in Arts and Harmony International Juried Art Show
The Arts in Harmony International Juried Art Show displayed 219 artists' work such as paintings, drawings, sculptures, photography, and sequential art. 39 artists that won an award at the show located in the Sherburne County Government Center February 3rd and March 27th, 2014. SEE MORE

ECFE Nature Explore Center Gateway Public Art by Sue Seeger
In October 2013, Sue attended the Grand Opening of the Nature Explore Center and cut the ribbon to open the Nature Explore Center. Prior to the public art installation the entrance was a weedy, worn, muddy path to a black, powder-coded 6-foot high fence with a standard gate.SEE MORE
