The Artist in Residence (AIR) program provides funds up to $3,500 to schools and nonprofit organizations in support of activities directed by, or conducted in cooperation with an artist who engages students and enables learning through the creative process. These funds are provided through Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Resident artists must be chosen on the basis of their ability to enhance programs and curriculum. An ideal residency is composed of a balance between demonstration and hands-on activity.
