Grant Panelist serve as volunteers but are paid a stipend and receive a small gift for their time evaluating applications. Participating as an evaluator will deepen your knowledge and experience around the process of seeking grants.

Consider serving as a reviewer if you:
• Have an interest in Art and Community
• Have experience with specific cultural communities
• Make art in any discipline/genre
• Work in education
• Have experience in Nonprofit programming or administration
• Engage in other forms of community organizing

Board members serve as volunteers but are paid mileage for attending meetings. Serving on the board gives an individual the opportunity to learn about arts activities in the region; increase grant writing and review process knowledge, and a chance to network with other artists and arts professionals.

CMAB Directors are chosen for their knowledge, expertise, and involvement not only in the arts but also in areas such as community development, nonprofit management and policy development. The board meets eight times a year on the second Thursday of the month at 2:30pm via Zoom.
