Destinee is a teaching artist based in the St. Cloud, MN area. She works with a variety of visual art materials and creative techniques. She seeks to foster community and creative social experiences by leading small groups through consistent art-making practice. These groups meet regularly (online per Covid-19 guidelines) and are available for several various peer groups.

I am a lover of all things creative as well as the benefits a creative practice provides. My passion is to ensure our local community has these opportunities and knows their ability to do them. Whether at senior community-living settings or through online avenues, my goal is to facilitate the exploration, practice, and creation of art, unique to each individual’s personal expression and style. I also encourage participation alongside peers, providing a sense of belonging and greater inspiration as more perspectives provide more creative ideas.

Residencies are available for senior living facilities or other established peer groups (i.e. support groups, moms’ groups, business associates, etc). Residency options include art journaling, creative acrylic painting, drawing, collage, or watercolor. Basic principles and elements of design weave their way through our art-making together. The residencies focus on establishing a healthy creative habit and the social benefits of engaging in the activity with others. While great finished pieces are not the end-goal, participants will come out with works of which they can be proud.

Residencies are available for six-month increments and are intended for four to six participants. Art supply kits are included for each individual. Also included is a group art show curated by Destinee with participant input upon completion of the residency. Groups meet weekly and will be held online per Covid-19 guidelines.
