Teaching Artist Statement

I bring an enthusiasm for painting and eagerness to share this experience in a fun and rewarding way. I create safe experiences where people can explore watercolor and feel successful. I have a background working with a variety of ages including people with cognitive and physical handicaps, and my skills to adapt painting techniques enable successful participation.

Explore and Nurture Creativity in the classroom

• I bring a sense of humor to any group as well as a willingness to make painting fun
• I am willing to give students time to explore and become comfortable with different painting techniques
• I can help to remove barriers to successful participation through a variety of adaptations and modifications
