CMAB Awards Teaching Artist Grant to area artist

At the November 11, 2021 meeting, the Central MN Arts Board (CMAB) awarded Teaching Artist, Carol Moore $2,000 to conduct a watercolor art experience with Humphrey Elementary School K-4th grade students in Buffalo, MN. After watercolor instruction in techniques and practice, students in K-2 will create a winter portrait while 3-4th grade students will create an accordion book that shows the change of the seasons.

The Teaching Artist Grant is available to artists who complete the CMAB Teaching Artist Roster Program and are listed on CMAB’s Teaching Artist Roster. The goal of the program is to support local artists in sharing their knowledge, skills and process with learners throughout the region by increasing the opportunities for artist residences.

Funding for the TAG program is provided by the McKnight Foundation.
