
At the September 19, 2019 meeting, the Central MN Arts Board (CMAB) awarded $3,600 in Teaching Artist Grants.
- Dan Mondloch, $1,800 to work with several groups from the St. Cloud VA Health Care System over a 4-week period creating watercolor paintings that will also have a therapeutic component for veterans.
- Sarah Drake, $1,800 to work with K-8 Promise Neighborhood students on “The Power to make a difference” studying the role of art in the civil rights movement. Student work will be on display Monday, January 20, 2020 at the River’s Edge Convention Center.
The CMAB Teaching Artist Grant is available to artists who complete the CMAB Teaching Artist Roster Program and are listed on the CMAB Teaching Artist Roster. The goal of the program is to support local artists in sharing their knowledge, skills and process with learners throughout the region by increasing the opportunities for artist residences.
Funding for the TAG program is provided by the McKnight Foundation.
