CMAB Awards Teaching Artist Grants

At the March 11, 2021 meeting, the Central MN Arts Board (CMAB) awarded $3,200 in Teaching Artist Grants.

1. Heidi Jeub, $2,000, for a Photography & Scale Residency that will include bookmaking, critical review, and an online exhibition with Foley High School photography students in Spring 2021.

2. Alison Yager, $1,200, for “Land Art for Kids!” residency where PreK and Kindergarten Nature Based Education students at Bertram Park in Monticello will collect and sort different sized rocks from the park and place them in a pattern to create a walkway from the outdoor classroom to the Amphitheater.

The Teaching Artist Grant is available to artists who complete the CMAB Teaching Artist Roster Program and are listed on CMAB’s Teaching Artist Roster. The goal of the program is to support local artists in sharing their knowledge, skills and process with learners throughout the region by increasing the opportunities for artist residences.

Funding for the TAG program is provided by the McKnight Foundation.
