
At the November 9, 2023, meeting, the Central MN Arts Board (CMAB) awarded $4,000 in Teaching Artist Grants to support local artists in conducting arts learning activities in community settings.
• Carol Moore, of Buffalo, received $2,000 to conduct a Beginner Watercolor Workshop for adults at Monti Arts in Monticello, MN.
• Dan Gruhlke, of Monticello, received $2,000 for Art Through the Ages via the Lens of Preteens photography residency with 5th grade students at Parker Elementary School in Elk River, MN.
The Teaching Artist Grant (TAG) is available to artists who complete the CMAB Teaching Artist Roster Program and are listed on CMAB’s Teaching Artist Roster. The goal of the program is to support local artists in sharing their knowledge, skills and process with learners throughout the region.
Funding for the TAG program is provided by the McKnight Foundation.
