Community Arts Support Awardees

The Central Minnesota Arts Board (CMAB), at their March 12, 2020 meeting, awarded seventeen (17) Community Arts Support Grants totaling $114,498.

The CMAB Community Arts Support Program provides biennial grants for administration, operations, equipment purchases and to improve access and outreach to underserved groups. These unrestricted grants are awarded to nonprofit arts organizations that demonstrate efficient management and high-quality artistic programming.

2. Buffalo Community Orchestra, $9,170 – Wright County
3. Buffalo Community Theater, $10,000 – Wright County
4. Central Minnesota Youth Orchestra, $2,250 – Stearns County
5. Centre Area Concert Association, $6,057 – Stearns County
6. Chamber Music Society of St. Cloud, $10,000 – Stearns County
7. Granite City Folk Society, $4,924 – Stearns County
8. Great Northern Theatre Company, $10,000 – Stearns County
9. Great River Chorale, $10,000 – Stearns County
10. Land of Lakes Choirboys of MN, $7,500 – Sherburne County
11. Minnesota Center Chorale, $4,562– Stearns County
12. Minnesota Dance Ensemble, $2,250 – Stearns County
13. SOAR Regional Arts, $7,500 – Wright County
14. St. Cloud Municipal Band, $2,667– Stearns County
15. St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra, $7,500 – Stearns County
16. Sinclair Lewis Foundation, $7,868 – Stearns County
17. Youth Chorale of Central MN, $10,000 – Stearns County

The Central Minnesota Arts Board supports collaborative and innovative arts opportunities through partnerships and financial investments in Benton, Sherburne, Stearns, and Wright counties as one of eleven Regional Arts Councils designated by the Minnesota State Arts Board working with community partners to increase access to the unique cultural assets of Minnesota.
